First, check this
Check cold-weather alerts, warm clothing, heating and protection against frozen pipes.
At home and outdoors
- Wear layers, gloves and a hat; avoid unnecessary trips in severe cold. Insulate exposed pipes and water meters and use heaters safely.
Check on others
- Check on older adults, children and people with chronic illness. If hypothermia is suspected, move the person somewhere warm and call local emergency services.
